As part of Heritage Days, the Friends of the Julia Butler Hansen House hosted an auction on May 9 at the Hotel Cathlamet (69 Main Street). Thank you Laurel. The online exhibit featured photographs of the auction items, giving visitors a preview of pieces connected to local history and community heritage.
The auction was conducted by local auctioneer Brian McClain. Music was by Don Wages. Our MC was our vice president: Lynette. Our head cashier was Phyllis. Our #1 storyteller was Julia's son, David Kimball Hansen. Many folks helped make this happen. Proceeds support preservation and ongoing work connected to the Julia Butler Hansen House.
Thanks everyone for attending Saturday. We were able to find new homes for 37 of our 40 items. items that were not sold are still available, email us at yp@fjbh.org if you are interested. Here is the complete list of ITEMS
